We believe that every person has the right to live with dignity, equality, comfort and independence, and we strive to ensure that our services are accessible to people with disabilities. We also work very hard to ensure our websites are also accessible!
What are we doing?
We conform to the guidelines laid out by the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 Level AA, which are recognized and acknowledged as the international standard measure of success. We are consistently choosing working with code, graphics, and frameworks that meet or exceed that standard. We utilize a set of tools and audits to test for color contrast, proper site structure, and providing detailed alt tags to all images.
Despite our efforts to make all pages and content fully accessible, some content may not have yet been fully adapted to the strictest accessibility standards across the various sets of different guidelines. This may be a result of not having found or identified the most appropriate technological solution. We are constantly seeking to improve accessibility for our guests and if you have any comments, please email us at accessibility@kingsseafood.com
Adobe Acrobat PDF Files: Most our websites are in HTML format. These formats are generally accessible to people who use screen readers. We also may have a number of files in Adobe Acrobat® Portable Document Format (PDF).
PDF format is used to preserve the content and layout of our hard copy files. Publications in PDF can only be viewed and printed using the Adobe Acrobat Reader®, version 3.0 or higher. You can download and get help using the Acrobat Reader at the Adobe Systems, Inc. site. The downloadable Acrobat Reader software is available at NO CHARGE from Adobe.
We also work hard to make our PDF documents accessible whenever possible as well, but people using screen-reading devices generally are unable to read documents directly in PDF format, unless they have an accessibility plug-in installed on their system along with the Adobe Acrobat Reader. This plug-in is available at NO CHARGE from Adobe.
Adobe also has online tools that will convert PDF files to HTML on request. To get the plug-in and latest news about Adobe’s accessibility tools and services, visit the Access Adobe site.
